actuating horn
Levers attached to aircraft control surfaces to which control cables are connected to move the control surfaces actuator. An electric, mechanical, or hydraulic device, or a combination of these, used to effect some predetermined linear, rotating, or oscillatory movement. An actuator essentially transforms fluid (hydraulic/air) pressure into mechanical force.
